Imreh Sándor is an artist and teacher, as well as the founder and promoter of an art zine primarily dedicated to drawing. He views drawing as both a method of thinking and a means of observing the environment through expressive and subjective documentation. Sándor mainly uses paper for his work, often blending realistic elements with abstract forms in collage-like compositions.
He also applies this clean, contrasting imagery to public spaces and the walls of abandoned buildings, often reflecting current events, pop culture phenomena, or textual references.
During his residency in Brno, he plans to reflect on his surroundings through drawings collected in a zine. If the opportunity arises, he will also create a mural on the walls of the neighbourhood.

Imreh Sándor: ’Benching Around (BrNo)’ – mural unveiling
Thursday, November 21st / 14.30
Wall at the sports field on Kotěrová (https://mapy.cz/s/mulolomavu)
The 'Benching Around (BrNo)' project is the latest in a series of subjective documentary drawings by Budapest-based artist Sándor Imreh. The drawings, organised in a zine linked to the city through current local street art traces, are now accompanied by stickers, stencils and a mural of his own design. The project, which explores transculturalisation processes, maps local imprints of global culture through the eyes of the traveller and uses D.I.Y. tools to hide signs in the layers of the city.
